Development Process

At Thomson’s Foods, we believe in a transparent and efficient process that ensures the successful development and production of your food products. Our step-by-step approach, combined with our expertise and attention to detail, guarantees exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.

Initial Discussion:

We initiate the process by engaging in confidential discussions with you. Whether in person or over the phone, we take the time to understand your project and its unique requirements. During this phase, we evaluate if your goals align with our capabilities, enabling us to determine the potential fit.

Information Gathering:

To further assess the feasibility of your project, we request a sample of your product, along with its ingredient list and a description of your current manufacturing process. This crucial step allows us to thoroughly evaluate the compatibility of your product with our facilities and capabilities. We also gather additional details, including packaging and allergen requirements.

Trial:

If your product requires roasting, we proceed to a production trial. This trial serves as a critical testing phase, where we can fine-tune the process and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcome. Depending on the requirements, the trial may involve a small 5-7kg cook or a larger 70-90kg cook. Following the trial, we package and box the product for your evaluation or, alternatively, return it to you as bulk product.

Fine Tuning:

Based on the results of the trial, we have an opportunity to make any necessary adjustments to the recipe or process. We collaborate closely with you to ensure that every aspect, including packaging considerations and meeting allergen requirements, is meticulously addressed. This phase also involves cost analysis to provide accurate pricing information.

Production:

Once the fine-tuning phase is complete, and all aspects of the process and packaging are resolved, we move forward to full-scale production. With our state-of-the-art facilities and skilled team, we execute the manufacturing process with precision and efficiency. Throughout the production phase, we maintain open lines of communication, keeping you informed of progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
